For those of you who build websites for organic traffic, adsense, leads, etc… many people pick their keywords to optimize on and go to work. My suggestion is to first take a look at your PPC keywords, see which ones have high search volume but little competition. These keywords can be easily exploited …
Say for instance you’re promoting an acne product. Now trying to optimize for “acne treatment” may take years to get in the top 3. But say you notice your keyword “benzoyl peroxide acne” gets about 100 searches a day, but the websites are very weak in the organic search. No real authority site on the subject.
What you can do is buy a domain with this keyword benzoylperoxideacne.com or benzoyl-peroxide-acne.com or something very close, write about 10 unique articles on the subject and throw it out there. You may be surprised how google will favor you.
I have a website that is focused on 1 specific keyword, took me about 2 days to build, had my copywriter write 10 unique articles and then I submitted it to all the search engines. After about 1 month, it was in the top 10, in 2 months it was in the top 3, now I’m number 1 in google, 1 in MSN, and 5 in yahoo. I get about 100 uniques a day or 3000/month. It generates about $10+ in adsense and averages 4-5 leads per day!
All for 2 days work … be smart and work hard
