Yesterday I talked about the importance of your keywords in relationship to your landing page. Today I would like to mention something that is easy to do, but can have a great affect on your reader.
Make it Personal
What do I mean by this? Imagine you are searching for a “dog training resource”, (for some reason this is very popular). You land on a site that mentions this one product several times, how great it is and the benefits that come with it. You hit the back button and land on another “review” site.
This one though has an image of a lady as she describes her story with her dog Scruffy. Scruffy was a wild dog, but after she took this one course, Scruffy has changed dramatically …
Can you see the difference? Two things you can do to make it more personal, add an image of a person and/or tell a story. Now I’m not saying make up stories and pass them as reviews, I think the best way to review a product is to get the product yourself and try it out, but that’s for another day.
Having the image of a person makes the page more personal as if someone is talking to them. Test it out it can’t hurt, and I would think it will help your readers take more action …

Good post. Adding you to my daily reads…
